More of Mia’s art – amazing
Mia made this portrait of African boy. For privacy reasons I can’t tell you where he is from. Mia’s school received few photos of African children. Most people there cannot afford pictures taken of them, let alone have portraits painted of them. So the school project was to paint portraits and send them over to these kids.
The painting Mia made is just amazing. She said the project was frustrating amounts of coat of paint over another. But the result is just amazing. I was pretty good at drawing things when I was young (I think), but I could not have done anything like this.
Great job, Mia! I am sure he will be proud of this picture. I just can’t get over it.
Happy New Year 2013!

High School Girl’s Soccer
Mia has been practicing hard and playing soccer all Fall in her school’s soccer team. Their school district playoffs went really well leading them to play for gold or silver in the state championship game last weekend, Bear Greek Grizzlies vs. Napavine Tigers in Sumner at the Chevron Sunset Stadium. The game was pretty exciting but there were no goals until there was 16 minutes left on the first half. The Grizzlies, Mia’s team made their first score. The game went well for the Grizzlies and they won the state championship with 4-0 score.
